Called To Be An Acts 2 Church

At Annual Conference in June our Bishop, Bruce Ough, challenged all of our churches to become “Acts 2 Churches,” churches inspired by the first followers of Jesus who “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts 2:42)  Here is a link to the Bishop’s address:

On the first Sunday of our adult Sunday school class (September 10th) we will study the second chapter of the Book of Acts, seeking to learn from those first followers what it means to be the church.  The following two Sundays (September 17th and 24th) we will hear and discuss Bishop Ough’s sermon at annual conference.

These three Sundays will be a good compliment to our fall worship series on the Book of Acts – The Experimental Church: Powered by the Spirit.

The adult class is open to everyone, so we invite you to join us at 9:30 am in the Wesley Room.
