We are Growing in our Love of God through Worship and Prayer
Our church family gathers each Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. for Worship. We gather in God’s presence to lift our voices to God in praise, to share our joys and our concerns, to hear God’s Word and how it informs our lives, and to respond with acts of thanksgiving, dedication and communion, before being sent out into the world to love and serve God and neighbor. We follow the seasons of the church year which celebrate the advent and birth, the life and ministry, the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the ongoing presence of God in the life of the church through the Holy Spirit.
Our worship is enhanced by music led most Sundays by Organ and Choir. On the second Sunday of each month our worship music is led by Open Circle, our church band. We sing from The United Methodist Hymnal, The Faith We Sing, and Worship and Song.
We have special services each year on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunrise.
Centering prayer is a form of silent meditation intended to open our hearts to the work of God. We find that praying together helps! We meet on Tuesdays at noon. No prior experience is necessary. Please join us.
Joys and Concerns
Sharing our Joys and Concerns is an important part of our weekly worship.
We maintain an active prayer chain through members and friends. Please call the office if you desire to be added to the email list or have a special prayer request.
Upper Room Devotional Resources
We encourage our members to find ways to engage in regular prayer and devotional reading. The Upper Room is a ministry of the United Methodist Church that provides many wonderful resources. Check them out here.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
We have knitters who prayerfully knit shawls to be shared with family, friends and neighbors as a reminder of the love and grace of God that surrounds us in all times and places and circumstances.
Our church recently redecorated the Sunshine Room which is located on the south side of the building above the lower entrance. This room is a lovely space for personal prayer, quiet conversation, or small group study. It also houses our supply of prayer shawls and grief resources.
